Scheppach HMS 2600ci Planer Thicknesser Excellent machine in great condition

Scheppach HMS 2600ci Planer Thicknesser - Excellent machine with original Scheppach accessories including blade safety guard, adjustable fence allowing bevel planing 45-90 degrees. 2.4kW (10.4amps) Scheppach very quiet running induction motor - 240 volt with 3m long supply cable and fitted with no-voltage return safety switch and emergency stop push button.

This model has heavy duty cast iron planer/thicknesser beds to provide 260mm planing width via 1040mm of planing beds. Please note these beds are not marked/scratched/pitted and have been waxed to protect from surface rusting.

Note - the planing depth is controlled via the bed adjuster lever that can be set to part of a millimetre up to around 3mm. Thicknesser will deal with 250mm wide stock up to 210mm in height.

Feed rollers are in immaculate condition & provide 5m/minute rate of feed. HSS blades give excellent planing results and the cutterblock is the type fitted with adjustable blade height set screws to allow easy height setting via allen key and the use of resharpenable blades.

Blades in machine are sharp and undamaged. In addition replacement blades are readily available along with machine spares. I will include the heavy duty braked wheel stand as part of the sale.

This allows easy movement of this very heavy machine around the workshop and has adjustable feet to ensure the machine is set up level for planing. Condition is Used but this machine has had very little use through its previous life and is in great working order. See photographs for an idea of the pristine condition the machine is in after a full strip down and reassemble with lubrication to all key components.

The pulley wheels/cogs, belts, anti-kickback teeth, rollers and general operational parts are all in excellent order as can hopefully be seen in the photographs. I can assist with loading subject to social distancing but it is too heavy for 2 people to manage.

The machine frame sits on the wheeled base unit and can simply be lifted off if required. The dust hood sits in the thicknesser bay when in planing mode - note the hood itself is missing but new replacements are available via Scheppach. Machine still works without it but you need to clear out waste from time to time.

I estimate the overall weight is around 135kg plus maybe + 20 kg with fence/safety guard etc. 13 amp supply via typical three pin plug as rated below 13amps.

There is a safety switch linked to the thicknessing mode to ensure the blade cover which swings up and is engaged when the planing bed is in the raised position must be be engaged to allow the switch to work.
