Record Power PT260 Classic planer thicknesser based on the Elektra Beckum machine. This is a well performing model that gives excellent planing results with 260mm planing width and thicknessing up to 160mm high stock. Very powerful 240volt single phase 2.0kW (8.5 Amp rated) induction motor with no-voltage release safety switch.
This machine is in excellent condition as can be seen from the photographs and has been well looked after and used for light domestic work. Heavy cast aluminium planer beds and steel frame. Original fence allows bevel planing 45-90 degrees. Blade safety guard adjustable for width and height of timber.
The original chip ejection hood and connection piece to fix 100mm diameter extraction pipe included. Fitted with 2no HSS blades which are in good sharp order and a very good condition cutter block.
Condition is "Used" and I have included a number of photos to show the super condition of belts, pulleys, drive chain etc. In addition the anti-kickback teeth are all in undamaged condition.
Planing beds are all in good condition and mainly show the cosmetic signs of use on the surface without any major scratches or pitting/damage and the machine appears to have had relatively limited use over its life. Full clean & lubrication undertaken to the mechanical parts. The planer is fitted onto a mobile base unit with wheels which can be dropped onto the legs to provide a stable planing unit. Original thicknesser height adjusting handle included along with a set of user instruction/maintenance manual.
Clarke Woodworker chip & dust extraction unit - fitted with 1.8m of 100mm diameter hose this is an 1100w unit capable of 183cubic metres of extraction volume per hour, from a 20,000 rpm motor. The tank has a capacity of 50 litres and has a quick release holding ring to enable emptying of the wood waste from the base. This too is in very good condition with nothing more than a few scratches and paint chips to the drum. There is a used filter included in the sale, which is fitted in the extractor but it has been cleaned and is in good condition. I can assist with loading into vehicle.Machine will fit into any standard hatchback etc. Answers to queries etc raised.
The timber stock feed rate etc are shown on one of the photographs along with other technical data. The planing adjustment is achieved via the yellow handle at the end/centre of the planing bed and gauged by the incremental guide shown on the side of the bed. It is actually quite an accurate and easy way of changing the depth of cut. Feed roller is the metal type with a finely textured surface finish.
No damage and perfectly clean. Stand operation between wheels is via the small step on piece which simply engages the legs to drop onto the floor while wheels lift up and the reverse for changing back to wheeled operation.
The stand can easily be removed from the main unit via 4no bolts in each leg for transporting.
