Elektra Beckum HC260-K Planer Thicknesser 3.1kW 240v/16amp in great condition

Elektra Beckum HC260-K Planer Thicknesser 3.1kW with very quiet induction motor. No voltage return on/off safety switch ensures accidental start of the motor cannot occur in the event of a power interruption. Original fence/blade guard and fitted with the motor housing/base frame. Aluminium fence with bevelled adjustment 45-90 degrees. Heavy duty cast aluminium planer beds provide approx 1.0m length x 260mm width with up to 3mm planing cutting depth.

Thicknesser capacity 160mm cutting height with 4mm cutting depth. 63mm diameter cutter block fitted with 2no HSS re-sharpenable blades as installed, which are sharp. The cutterblock is fitted with the adjustable blade holder wedges that also allows easy blade alignment with fine set screw height adjustment using an Allen key. This model has a drill chuck fitted to the end of the cutterblock shaft, which allows a morticing carriage to be fitted to pre-drilled fixing points (part of an Elektra Beckum accessory kit).

Approximately 2m of power cable with 16amp connection plug fitted to supply this very powerful motor. Note - the motor is fitted with a DC brake that stops the cutterblock in a very short timescale as an added safety measure. Various scratches, paint and other marks to outer body of machine, all cosmetic in nature.

The machine is in extremely good order and from what I can see all belts/pulleys/drive gears in great condition. Recent strip, clean and lubrication of mechanical parts undertaken and I have tried to capture the immaculate state of the machine in the photographs. This is a very sought after machine due to the powerful motor, which has a superb reputation. I can assist with loading to vehicle subject to social distancing arrangements but please be aware this is a very heavy machine but will fit into any standard hatchback or similar vehicle. Wheeled base not included in sale.
